The 79 ACP countries have started laborious negotiations with the European Union to renew the Cotonou Agreement. An agreement that wants to be broader, adapted to regional specificities and especially more balanced.

Everything will have to be completed by 2020 and maybe this year. It all depends on the progress of the discussions.

The ACP countries have entrusted the Togolese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Dussey, with the formidable privilege of leading the negotiations.

Diplomag , the magazine published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, details the contours of the future agreement

‘It is not in our power to foresee the future, but we can prepare it’, writes Robert Dussey in his editorial.
